Deposit Misappropriation and Personal Data Extortion
Warning! This platform is extorting personal data. I deposited $30, traded up to $120, and requested a withdrawal of $50—my $30 and $20 in profit. WEEX then blocked my account, blocked withdrawals, and blocked the trading process itself. They demanded a full set of personal information: passport, residential address, a selfie with my passport, and a video of the text being read. For a withdrawal of $30–$50, such demands are excessive and inappropriate. The exchange refuses to return even my personal deposit of $30 without these documents. There are no such requirements for deposits or withdrawals. They are not currently listed on their website, but if you make a profit and want to withdraw it, they immediately find any excuse not to give it back to you, including in this case, even my deposit. This looks like they're collecting a database of real users for dubious purposes. In fact, my money was simply stolen, and to get it back, they're demanding I "sell" my identity. Think very carefully and read real user reviews before trusting them with your money and confidential information. Just imagine what they could do with your data.
