Appalling experience with SWYFTX
I’ve just had an experience with Swyftx that left me shaking my head. I wanted to do something simple: move my crypto into cold storage. That’s crypto 101 — your keys, your coins. Instead, I was met with hurdle after hurdle — unnecessary verification loops, repetitive security questions, and arbitrary approval requirements. After wasting time jumping through all their hoops, my request was still declined without a clear explanation. The entire process runs counter to the ethos of cryptocurrency: freedom, control, and the ability to self-custody your assets without interference. What Swyftx is doing here is gatekeeping — essentially holding your funds hostage behind red tape. If you value the core principles of crypto and want the ability to move your own assets without begging permission, look elsewhere. There are plenty of exchanges that respect their customers and the spirit of decentralisation. Constructive suggestion: Swyftx needs to overhaul its withdrawal process — make it fast, transparent, and respectful of the fact that these are customers’ assets, not the company’s. Until then, I’d avoid them at all costs.
