The perfect Mother/Daughter Trip to Ireland To celebrate my 80th birthday my daughter and I decided to visit Ireland for the first time. We chose Irish Tourism to plan our trip, especially because we liked their rail tour on your own. Stephanie Guina did a superior job booking our hotels, rail and ferry tickets, and arranging for someone to meet us on arrival at Dublin Airport to get us to our first hotel. All the accommodations were very nice and always located within easy walking distance to the train or bus stations we would need. Along with the vouchers were always clear directions on how we were to proceed. We really liked that we could travel just the two of us, not stuck on a bus with 50 other people, and that we could choose where and when we ate lunches and dinners. Those Irish Pubs were lots of fun. The Hop On Hop Off bus in Dublin was the perfect way to see many sights easily, and we really enjoyed the train rides through the countryside. Our favorite place was Killarney with its National Park on the edge of town, complete with Ross Castle and beautiful Muckross House to enjoy. As I have shared our trip with friends, and they say they have always wanted to go to Ireland, I am encouraging them to just go and love it--and use Irishtourism.com to book it. We plan to go back again too.
