Poor Customer Service
Ordered some skirting boards online as Travis Perkins had the exact size I needed. The order confirmation said it would be delivered from our local branch (East Peckham), 2 miles away and they would be in touch. 3 days later, no contact had been made so called them. Nobody answered, so drove there to be told it was being delivered the next day (and you were going to tell us this when?). Luckily, could see their screen and realised they were sending the wrong size. Apparently they didn't have the size ordered in stock so had decided to send another size skirting board instead!! Unbelievable, it was ordered that size for a reason. Told them to take it off delivery as didn't want the hassle of having to arrange for it to be collected. They said they would ring next morning to advise when it would be coming. True to their word, they rang to say the size ordered wasn't in stock locally and would have to come direct from the supplier the following Thursday. As by the Wednesday still not heard anything further, called into the store to be told they couldn't get it, suppliers don't deliver direct to customers and had been trying to ring to advise. I had no missed calls or voicemails. As I had spent 10 days waiting for this, subsequently had to cancel my flooring being laid due to the non-delivery. Got a refund and ordered from an online company in Birmingham that delivered to Kent within 48 hours. Complained to Customer Service, but 3 days later, still no response.
