Arrived just in time for dinner
Just returned from a Mystery weekend from Glasgow. Ended up at Waterside Hotel in Peterhead. Lovely hotel, lovely staff, couldn't fault the food or the service we received. My only gripe is the time we arrived at the hotel, literally in time for dinner. We didn't even have enough time to get a shower before dinner. The hotel had a lovely pool, gym and sauna facilities but we didn't have enough time to use them. I think the whole concept of the Mystery Weekend is great, where you make stops along the way to see different places. I just feel that some of the stops could have been shorter so we could arrive at our destination earlier, or maybe take a more direct route to the hotel as we were on a lot of small roads. The places we visited along the way were all great: Braemar, Balmoral (not our cup of tea but we visited the distillery instead), Ballater, Peterhead Stonehaven and St Andrew's. Thank you Calvin for getting us there and back safely.
