Horrific! appalling!
They have treated me like a dog I have account on etoro for 3 years and last week I was browsing the deposit section and accidentally pressed the paypal option and even though I pressed the X on the window etoro still made a transfer of $1000 from paypal without any intervention from me. They have the deposit windows pre filled with a 1000 euro/dollar amount instead of empty field probably on an expectation that something like this will happen I tried to reverse that transaction and a world of PAIN started. I opened a ticket on etoro and a dispute on paypal to try to reverse the deposit and both companies told me that was impossible as the transaction was complete. SO the only thing I could do was to withdraw the money back from etoro... but I immediately discovered that they BLOCKED my account Even though I plead with them stating that I needed to return the money back because I didnt have enough funds to cover for that ACCIDENTAL deposit they said that I now needed to confirm my identity and had to review the situation 6 days past until they finally returned the ability for me to withdraw MY MONEY! I had to scramble with other funds to cover for the deposit otherwise I would be in trouble with paypal. After all this I now discovered that my invest option is disabled so I cannot invest Now they have requested me to send a proof of address (after 3 years). Probably the investment block is related to this. Appalling treatment.
