Awful customer experience, aggressive staff members and misleading customers in order to charge extortionate damage fees
I recently rented a car at Corfu airport for my 5-day holiday. When I picked up the car I did the usual vehicle checks and took photos of the car. I picked up numerous scrapes, dents and scratches to the car which I took photos of and communicated to staff. Despite this, the initial damage report was not amended and left blank. Some of this damage was obvious and would've been picked up upon their inspection from the last rental. I found this practice incredibly dishonest and put in place to catch out the next rental customer, deliberately leaving the report blank, despite knowing about the damage (and no doubt charging the last customer for it!). Roll forward 5 days, a staff member found a scratch underneath the bumper, not far from other bumper damage that I took a picture off. As I did not take pictures underneath the bumper, they charged me €350 damage. When I raised this with the employee and asked to file a formal complaint, the staff member on duty became aggressive and dismissive. I requested his name and asked to speak with a manager; both requests were refused. He told me I was “only a customer, a civilian” and that I would need to “call the police” if I wished to escalate the matter. This behaviour was hostile, intimidating, and wholly unacceptable in a professional setting. Following my trip I filed a complaint with the Company. Two weeks have gone by and I haven't received response. DO NOT USE!
