VIP registration is a joke
I have always enjoyed our timeshare and usually decline a meeting for further sales. We have owned for about 20 years. And through the years there have been pros and cons but mostly good. Today was quite the twist. We were told we would be met as a VIP for registration. When we arrived ( after driving 2 days in a car with 4 kids) we were escorted into A semi private area where we were offered beverages and snacks. We were then brought to an additional area “to go over our registration.” It quickly turned into a sales pitch to book a further meeting. We explained that we were not interested in any further sales as we are on a very tight schedule with our vacation. We were told we were going to learn about all the additional perks and benefits. At this point I just wanted to get unpacked and get a shower after a long trip! Then wanted us to sign a form that we would attend - no go. I then asked the person doing our “registration “point-blank can you assure me that no one is going to try to sell me something at this meeting on Friday? He told me that yes there would be an offer and I let him know I was not interested and would not attend a meeting. Quite annoyed that they took 30 minutes of my time with this nonsense. Next time they offer me something VIP I don’t know it’s just a ploy. Our timeshare has been worth our investment however the constant trying to upsell is extremely annoying.
