Bad check in service
As per the conditions of our booked return flight from Antalya to the UK we arrived 3 hours prior to our flight time. Due to an issue at the check in desk we spent an hour waiting to check in our luggage, there were at least 7 check in desks open and the equivalent amount of queues. We joined a queue and waited for our turn to check in our luggage, during the next hour we watched as the queue either side of us were seen and moved through quite quickly. However there was a delay at the desk for our queue, it had been taking a good 10 to 15 minutes for each person to be checked in. The person working on this desk appeared to be struggling to check people in, as he was asking his colleague next to him for help we surmised he either had an issue with his p.c or was new to the role. Either way our queue continued build and the people either side continued to be checked in quite quickly. Within our queue people were starting to get frustrated and agitated, my complaint is not with the check in person rather his manager and or supervisors. By the time we reached the desk he was unable to check us in,we asked the reason for this and he stated he couldn't log on to his p.c . I saw a group of 4 people stood behind the next check in desk I waved to get their attention and tried to point out that this person clearly needed some support in checking people in. I was ignored until my husband asked who his supervisor was? The supervisor arrived along with 2 other managers and we were checked in. Due to the long delay we had 15 minutes to go through a second passport and bag check and body scan. This left us no time to peruse duty free, get refreshments after our 2 hour journey to the airport and use the bathroom! So disappointed with sun express, the flight itself was ok as were the flight attendants. I understand that the person on the check in desk may have been quite new to the role but he should have been given support, instead of being ignored. The whole time we stood in the queue sun express staff were walking around the desks and queues and were clearly aware of the problems that were developing.
