Very poor service all round
Very poor service all round. All they are interested In is just the sale. Nothing else. For instance. When I bought the bricks, I was told I have to pay for delivery+ VAT £165. I paid. The delivery driver from Knowles Transport Limited came and told me that he had a delivery for me, but he is not coming down my street as his lorry may get damage by the trees. I offered to guide himself down but he refused and took the good away. I got on to Building Materials who, after several call between us. The sales man told me his boss said I have to pay another £195 for delivery. At first I refused, but after we came to an agreement of £177.00 I paid for another delivery today which came this morning. The same driver. This time I offer to off load the bricks on a side street on the main road. The builders here, two men came and helped me to unload 4 packs the driver left the packages at the side of the road and went. I did a pack and a half until a 25 toner lorry driver saw me doing so and helped me with the half remaining pack. He took it to my home and dropped it off for me. I don’t blame building materials so much. But they chose the wrong transport company as it should he been (1) a flatbed truck to take the deliveries (2) a more experienced driver. I received a reply from one of the manager blaming me for not explaining about the transport carriage. But I did! When I told Eddie that the items should come on a flatbed, he said he would see what he could do but can’t make any promises. Please, do not blame the customers for any failings your company make. And the decision comes down from the manager. People like Eddie and just following orders. But don’t lie. My wife and I are not happy;
