Purchased a 13a socket charger
I was impressed by the detail provided on the website. Before making my purchase, I did a lot of research and found that other sites either overlook the risks of charging an EV from a standard mains socket or sell chargers that could increase the risk of socket damage. I have a background in electrics so I'm aware of the risks involved, and would never recommend using chargers that draw 13 amps from a 13 amp socket - 8 to 10 amps should be the max. Credit to this company for taking a safety-first approach. I opted for the more expensive model - the charger is high quality and includes robust safety features to guard against heat damage. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
