Good and bad points
After using Seneca in cooperation between my child and his school since the pandemic, I've found it beneficial at times, although also very frustrating. First of all, I don't believe in funding other students' education through Premium and don't appreciate support only through an AI bot or Discord text message. It's very expensive and thus I'd prefer to have a telephone line with video consultations available, a little like NatWest bank. Premium features are useful, although my child has often said he struggles to find somewhere to start with an overwhelming amount of content and next to no clear organisation. However, it is much more beneficial than programs like SparxMaths as questions are explained clearly and in bite-size chunks, which we find very suitable for learning. It also has appropriate questions and a great homework assignment system which his school uses and works well. I quite enjoy being able to access as a parent his data and find the emails good too. Overall, I do appreciate Seneca and do find it will help as a homework platform and additional support however I would not consider it a replacement for private tuition or physical textbooks (like CGP).
