Big bill increase
It seems to be odd to be asked to rate a utility company that you have no choice in it. I contacted YW as my bill is doubling despite being in credit. I was told this is because my water usage increased for one month out of twelve and this is what the revised figure is based on. The call handler gave advice on how to determine if this is a leak and tried to sell me Homeserve if I needed a plumber. Disappointing as they are a bunch of sharks. No pun intended as I’m talking about a water company. Frustratingly though there is no recent data available from my meter so it’s necessary to go through looking for leaks and sucking up a doubled payment for a while until it’s sorted. Easy to get hold of them on the phone though and practical advice if you ignore the Homeserve sell.
