Zen, a Service with a breath of fresh air
First off all I'm not very technology savvy and was unsure about the how's and why's of how to change my internet supplier and what was involved. Just a bit of background to start to start off with. Originally with BT on their dial up and as we did not have a cable supplier there was no other choice. The supply was enhanced by a speedier cable/wire feed at a cost until the Post Office offered a better and cheaper service. Now for some reason the Post Office sold out to Shell and my fixed price contract started to go up with no increase in speed and having to pay for a phone line that I did not use. Shell then sold out to TalkTalk who had been taking my money long enough to inform me that my router was no longer serviceable and speeds decreased whilst dropouts increased with no mention of a new router. Looking for an alternative and in the know that City Fibre had installed the necessary equipment locally I gave Zen a call. What a breath of fresh air. I was received by an English speaking operative speaking from somewhere in England who explained exactly what I would be getting, full fibre at a speed that I could only dream of and a price a lot lower than my previous supplier. No pressure or salesmanship just the facts of cost and fitting all that I needed was to make up my mind and let them know. I opted for the Fibre 500 was given a date that first of all City Fibre would install the cable from telegraph post to the house and the connection to the router. There was an approximate wait of two weeks to the fitting date where the now router was delivered and an assesment done. On the date City Fibre installed the cable and modem then connected the new router (works well for me but I have heard discrepancies over this one) then just had to wait a while till it came on line. In all I was kept well informed by Zen of each step, they had severed the link with TalkTalk and up to date there is a slight fluctuation in service but well within the limits that Zen said it could be.
