Non-existent customer service
The tea is decent, the prices are good, but the customer service is lousy. I placed an order for my Mother for Mothers Day. I placed the order on May 6. All items I ordered were indicated as in stock and I was well within the shipping time frame, all parties being in NJ. I give my Mom a ring on Mothers Day and discover she hasn't received her gift. I log into the site and see that the products aren't due to arrive until 5/20! I contact customer support via email, its the only option, and I get the following response: "Thanks again for your recent order. The products you selected typically ship from the warehouse that's close to you. In this instance, a few of the items were out of stock, so the order was transferred to a warehouse that's a little bit further. This would explain the longer-than-usual transit time. We'll do our best to ensure that all future orders ship locally and arrive quickly. Sorry again for the delay this time! Please visit us again soon!" I never received notification that my shipment was going to be delayed, or that anything was back ordered. It was embarrassing and I had to apologize to my Mom (though of course she understood). I wrote a scathing response to Adagio customer service, and it's gone unanswered. I can of course understand a mix up, but not terrible service like this. I'll never order from them again.
