Sheraton Timeshare Review

Sheraton Flex, Marriott Worldwide Vacations or whatever they are calling themselves these days, we may be old, but we are not confused that you are taking advantage of people. We are also not convinced that it is not purposeful in nature. It looks and feels like a pyramid scheme, entrapping Senior Citizens, like ourselves in an endless maze of lies, half-truths and expenses. We have reached out to the company multiple times via phone and writing and have received zero help or movement towards resolution of multiple issues. We have provided names, dates, and examples of the outright misrepresentations on the sales table. The Myrtle Beach office, told us that anyone in our family or as deemed by us, would have access to our benefits. Not so. They would have access to Disney World specifically through Sheraton. Not so. They conveniently did not provide us with the contract until after the legal cancellation period. We will be looking into the legalities, on that subject matter as well as the lack of disclosures regarding the loan terms including the “Truth in Lending” not being explicitly or obviously reviewed at the point of purchase. Regardless of the name on the sign, they clearly do not care about their brand, reputation or looking out for the elderly. We might be old, but we will go down fighting. We have used our timeshare 3 times in 7 years, they have been compensated more than fairly for that usage. They served us Bloody Mary’s during the entire presentation. They ran my partners credit without his permission, and when it was too low, they asked for permission to run mine. We are both on fixed SS income and food stamps. This is definitely a financial hardship. We want to part ways IMMEDIATELY and wholly, but for now we are stuck with this valueless product.
