Very poor from start to finish
My experience was very poor from start to finish. There was only myself and the seller in the chain and yet completion took 15 weeks. I had to constantly chase my case handler, he would often not respond to emails for several days, and despite leaving voice messages with the company, he always seemed to be on a lunch break (between 11am and 3pm most days). The vendors agents would try to contact my case handler but with no joy and they phoned me numerous times asking me to chase him as they never had any luck managing to track him down. He ignored their emails and phone messages. The completion date kept getting pushed back, and towards the end I had to phone him up 4 times to check whether or not it was going to go through the following day or not. I would not have minded as much for a low value transaction, but for a house purchase, tens of thousands of pounds leaving my account is a significant event, but for them, it appeared as though I was dealing with a few pence. 6 weeks after completion, I then had to chase them up as they owed me almost £300, and they made no effort to refund this to me in the meantime. I emailed my case handler 3 times over this and he never bothered to reply to my emails. 5 weeks later I am still awaiting a reply. They then wanted to charge me £25 to pay the cost of the BACS payment (even though this was my money). Had I not chased them, I would still not have been paid this money, and there was little in the way of apology when I discussed this issue with the company. I paid them the stamp duty on the property, and 8 weeks later I am receiving letters from HMRC about this still being outstanding. A very disappointing service, with very poor customer service levels. I would not use them again.
