⭐ 1 star Absolutely appalling billing practices. If I could give zero stars, I would. After being with Yuno Energy, I’ve been left with 18 months of inaccurate billing, no actual meter readings since December 2023, and a total lack of accountability from their support team. Despite calling multiple times and submitting a meter reading on May 19th, I’ve been given completely conflicting information every time I speak to someone. First I was told I’d get clarity in 15 days. Then I was told I’d need to wait for my next bill. Today, on the actual billing date, I’m told I’ll need to wait another 14 days to even find out whether I’m in credit or in debt. Meanwhile, the Yuno app falsely showed my usage as accurate, not estimated — which I now know was completely misleading. Apparently, no readings have been received for over a year and a half, but no one thought that was important enough to notify me. Even worse, I was told to submit a manual meter reading (which I did), only to later be told that smart meter readings are automatically rejected by ESB — something Yuno should have known and explained clearly from the start. Now that I’ve switched providers, I’m being told I can’t even request a full breakdown of my bills — something I was never informed of until it was too late. To top it all off, I received a smug, templated complaint response trying to pass the blame to ESB Networks, with no real ownership or understanding of my situation. Yuno’s complaint team clearly didn’t read my case history properly, and their response was riddled with contradictions to what I’ve been told on the phone. This isn’t a minor issue. This is 18 months of incorrect billing, inconsistent communication, and no transparency about how final bills are being calculated. I have no idea if I’ve been overcharged, undercharged, or where I stand — and no one at Yuno seems remotely interested in resolving it. If you value accurate billing, honest communication, or basic customer service — do not go near Yuno.
