Installing high speed broadband in a listed church
Installing high speed broadband in a Grade II listed church involves satisfying the Diocese that there will be no negative impact on the graveyard or the fabric of the building. WI made a video of the route to be taken and of the entry point (an existing ventilation cover) and the permission was eventually granted. The mole-ploughing was very neatly done but we hit real difficulties in passing the fibre through the 70cm thick walls. Chris from the installation team persisted rather than asking us to sort out the problem. He completed a very tidy job and left it working which it continues to do. Our congregation is impressed and very happy with the new facility.
