Terrible experience with this company
Terrible experience booking a car in France with Rent a car. Complaint submitted 9 weeks ago and still no resolution. - Paid for 'meet and greet' service expecting someone to be at the airport. Nobody was waiting, there was a shuttle service phone number that had to be called. - It took more than 20 phone calls to locate the shuttle driver who kept hanging up and didn't speak any English. - The shuttle didn’t have child seats, so we couldn’t all travel in the vehicle. Wife and 2 toddlers had to wait at the airport terminal for 90 minutes before I was able to pick them up. - Paid extra for a larger vehicle class, the only car available had half the boot space, not large enough for our luggage. - Staff were rude and couldn’t communicate in English. - Hire car was dirty inside and out and it smelled of stale beer. - And the cherry on the cake, the car was supplied with 1/3rd in the fuel tank - costing an extra €50. All in, this was my worst experience hiring a car ever.
