Incompetent, dishonest, overhyped.

Another terrible experience with Sézane. This is the exact same situation as happened last year, that I was assured would not happen again. I placed two orders. My intention was for them both to go to the Paris Saint Fiacre boutique for collection, however when placing the order, the second order kept reverting to Aix-en-Provence. I contacted sezane immediately, requesting that they both went to Paris. I was told that I would have to wait for the second to go to Aix and then they would forward it back to Paris, taking three weeks. I agreed, but asked them to hold on to the first order until the second had arrived for me to collect both at the same time, given that I live internationally. They agreed. Just as they did last year, however, they demonstrated themselves to be totally incapable of upholding their contractual obligations and failed to do this. The items, just like last year, are no longer available. Both orders incurred significant fees on my bank card, being international transactions, for both the order and the return. Their response was to offer me a “free gift” (read, unwanted poor quality wash/ tote bag). They offered to call me, when I refused this. I agreed. They refused to speak to me when I refused to have the call recorded, because apparently, using my call for training is far more important than my right to confidentiality. This follows a highly dishonest practice earlier this year when they refused to refund me a faulty item (see review below), on the basis that they alleged I had never paid for it. It took weeks to resolve this, and they refused to adduce evidence that they said they had proving that I had not. My bank had to intervene, and I am now pursuing a legal complaint, given that they still have not written to me stating the steps they have taken to resolve this. Avoid this company- check all of your transactions with them. They are truly horrendous.

Excellent customer service following review

I have edited my review, stated below, given the way in which they went above and beyond to eventually resolve my issue, following my complaint below. Thank you for your kind resolution, Zima. I purchased the Zima dental pod. As far as I can tell, this is an expensive bookend. It has stopped working just five months in. It simply doesn’t turn on (and yes, I protected the socket each time I filled it). They state, falsely, that they replace items under warantee. I proceeded to the online form for a replacement, which requires a video of the issue. Due to file size limitations, it’s impossible to upload one. I then contacted them and they suggested that I email them a video, which I did. They now refuse to cooperate as the image doesn’t show the device filled with water. Frankly, I’ve had enough. Their warantee is a false one, and they take days to respond to emails. It really is quite simple, whether filled or not, the device doesn’t turn on, so it’s hard to see what further purpose yet an additional video would provide. They are wilfully obstructing a refund. To be honest, I’m not sure how good the device was to begin with. Even with the expensive sterilizing tablets and two cycles, the Invisalign still came out covered in saliva. The tablets also don’t’ totally dissolve and are extraordinarily expensive when compared with counterparts for dentures. I also purchased the Zima Go which had to be returned due to a serious design flaw- a portable device for cleaning retainers cannot, itself, be cleaned. Avoid this company at all costs. I am now exploring possibilities for breach of contract, having relied on the warrantee of replacement for defective items before making my purchase.
