After one month...
My experience with ParcelABC has been somewhat bumpy. I requested the delivery services of this company to pick up a package in Venezuela that contained clothes made by a grandmother for her 10-year-old granddaughter who lives in Belgium. But, ParcelABC subcontracted, in turn, the delivery services of the UPS company on 09/09/2024. To start there were problems with the package collection (which was done on 11/09/2024, after several calls and emails on my side). After UPS confirmed the package reception, the madness of a complicated journey began. It included its passage through Colombia and several cities in the USA, such as Miami, Louisville, and Paramus. There, the parcel was held for several days at customs, in theory, due to the lack of import documents (which were inside the plastic bag that contained the shipping label and anybody couldn't see). On 10/14/2024, UPS declared the parcel lost. Later on, UPS initiated a 10-day investigation to find it. In the following 4 days, I received an email from UPS to initiate a claim for the payment of compensation or reimbursement because the parcel was lost. In this regard, I didn't do anything, and on 10/17/2024, UPS found the package without shipping labels and proceeded to place a new one with a new tracking number. Afterward, the package began a new tour of cities such as Kansas, Lenexa, and Louisville in the USA until it finally arrived in Cologne (Germany) on 10/20/2024. It was delivered to the recipient in Belgium on 10/21/2024 after canceling the UPS courier an extra import charge (which is still in a claim against Parcel ABC). My assessment of UPS as a subcontracted company by ParcelABC is negative. In my opinion, ParcelABC offers affordable delivery prices, but it should choose its partners better. However, I must recognize the work performed by DANIEL, an operator of ParcelABC who showed exemplary behavior all the time to intercede for me against UPS and claim as if it were me all irregularities occurred throughout this bumpy journey of my parcel. Thanks to him, a 10-year-old girl could enjoy her grandmother's gift. At least, ParcelABC counts on good professionals to solve this kind of inconvenience.
