open an account at your risk

If you are looking to open an account with a credit union, University Credit Union is not what you are looking for. Most of the customer services staff are as incompetent as a 5 year old. And that is been generous. I don't want to waste time with long reviews, so here's the overall problem with this place. Employees lack knowledge and motivation to help customers. They contradict each other and sometimes provide wrong information. In my case the last instance of interaction with UCU (not my first negative experience with UCU) left me stranded in an unknown place, with no money for gas or food in a rural area of Northern California. Don't recall the last time I felt so many emotions at the same time. Have an appointment with a lawyer to go over the situation I had to live as a result of the wrong information I was given by a UCU employee. Even wrote a letter to UCU CEO a few days back and haven't received even an acknowledgement of receipt of my letter. Don't waste your time. Do your due diligence before opening an account at UCU.
