I recently had to cancel a trip due to COVID-19. I was given a credit on my airline ticket but they refused to credit my Early Bird Check-in Fee of $40.00. All I am asking for is a credit to use later not a refund. This is a worldwide pandemic and "Yes" I do have concerns about traveling at this time. I've reached out to southwest twice and here are the two responses I received. 1.Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand that you canceled your reservation due to your concerns about traveling at this time. While I regret any disappointment this may cause, EarlyBird Check-In purchases are nonrefundable, and we are unable to honor your request for a refund on this occasion.
