Nanny State Mentality
Nanny State mentality. Compared with more established banks there is an overbearing policy in respect of anti-money-laundering. All banks need to do this but Kroo is way out of balance, assuming that every customer is guilty until you prove yourself innocent. Literally. I have to evidence my salary. I had to prove I was innocent and they held my salary ransom while I did. Yes, they roll out the "we're keeping our customers safe response" but blocking my salary unless I provide a copy of my pay slip. No other bank does this. Kroo seriously needs to get over itself. Plenty of very positive reviews from younger customers because they are not transacting big enough amounts to experience the constant intervention and nannying. If you're planning to run this as a grown-up with a mortgage, be aware that you will have little autonomy in any financial decision above £500, with up to 48 hour delays - more on a weekend. EDIT: Yet more Nanny control, Kroo want to control this review and have asked me to identify myself as reviewer. The level of mistrust in their customers is wholly disproportionate. I have provided details. Let's see what happens.
