Masterclass poor quality product
Masterclass are suggesting that I pay for replacement unit doors that have been so poorly manufactured that the laminate is becoming detached. This has been an ongoing problem since my kitchen was installed. They even admitted to my installer that they had manufacturing / processing problems. 23/08/2023 After giving the original order number to which they ought to be able to trace the numerous replacements they have supplied so far, a day and a half later complete silence. 29/09/2023 Update response from Masterclass Hello Paul, Upon reviewing our records, it is evident that your initial order was fulfilled in November 2015. Subsequently, we executed a replacement of your doors in November 2017, followed by the replacement of an additional 5 doors in February 2018. The remaining frontage drawer fronts, panels, and doors were supplied in December 2019. We then received a further report of delamination in 2016, but as your doors were outside of the Masterclass Kitchens warranty, these were chargeable. Our Warranty is clearly stated that from the original order date, the Masterclass Kitchens Warranty is for 6 years, and door replacements are exclusively covered by the manufacturer's 12-month warranty. Considering the timeframe, your kitchen unfortunately lies beyond the scope of both the Masterclass Kitchens warranty and the manufacturer's 12-month warranty. Consequently, the associated costs for addressing your order are applicable. Should you wish to obtain a quote for replacement doors, PB Home Solutions will be able to assist you. Sorry I could not bring better news, Regards, My reply Thank you for your email that just about agrees with my records, so regardless of the fact that you admitted to my installer that you had manufacturing/ processing problems which you attributed to your poor quality shoddy product you still expect me to pay for replacements. Regards As you can see I have had a lot of replacements due to poor quality. 04/09/2023 Since I started this review I have learned a few things, Masterclass guarantee their base units and cupboards for 10 years and doors and drawer fronts for 3 years my error was that I didn’t check or find out about these guarantees but then I didn’t expect deterioration so rapidly and frequently. I just asked my installer to revamp my kitchen he happens to procure and install Masterclass products. The installers planning, project management and and fitting was excellent. Recently I have looked at three other kitchen providers out of interest, of these three one clearly states on their web site units guaranteed for 25 years and doors and drawer fronts 5 years, one stated units guaranteed for 25 years but didn’t mention doors so in an online chat I was informed 5 years for doors and drawer fronts, the third supplier stated units at 25 years I didn’t ask about doors. So you can see there is a difference between suppliers, My suggestion is do your research, look at reviews, ask questions and see if you can talk to other people about their experiences and then make an informed choice then hopefully you will not end up being an unhappy customer like me.
