Such great customer service
I'd like to share my exceptional experience with Sakura Mobile during my recent trip to Japan. Their customer service was extremely impressive, so much so that I am taking the time to write this rare review. Before my trip, I began looking for alternatives to the usual hotspot rental I get while overseas. I came across Sakura Mobile, as well as a competing service, from searches and Reddit posts. Since I was looking for semi-long term data and voice & data e-SIMs, I had several questions about their eSIM plans. Their customer service team was responsive and knowledgeable and responded promptly, clearly explaining their plans and what would best work for what I had in mind. Upon arriving in Japan and activating my eSIMs, I had an issue with properly activating the data eSIM because I was using the voice & data eSIM settings. They were quick to assist me in finding the correct APN settings via email (from the hotel Wi-Fi). Once properly configured, both the call quality and internet speeds were consistently excellent. What particularly stood out was Sakura Mobile's ongoing support. I had an issue where I had actually gotten the wrong data plan that they had directed me to before my trip, and as a result, I went over my data limit. After I explained the issue, they went above and beyond my expectations in making things right. For those planning a trip to Japan and seeking reasonably priced, reliable connectivity, I highly recommend Sakura Mobile.
