I am extremely disappointed with the service provided with Porta. I found the website via google and booked a pick up and delivery of my furniture the day before I required it. I was assigned a driver who was then cancelled and assigned another. I wasn't told why the first was cancelled but later found out (after texting him) that he was wrongly assigned the job as I request two people and he was only one. I had booked an 8am-12pm pick up and by 10am hadn't heard from the new driver and couldn't get through. I tried to call the Porta phone number 5 times and each time went through the answer machine. The online chat didn't work and the email service on the website kept showing error messages every time I tried to submit. I finally found the whatsapp message service and was then told that somebody couldn't call me right now because you were "a small team and all in a business meeting right now, but could help via whatsapp". As a primarily service based business you should have a customer service rep available for a call at all times during your available hours. I then managed to get through to the driver and he said he would arrive by 1.15pm - after my slot time. This delayed my planned day and set me back hours. When he turned up it was in a van that was marked for plumbing services. Despite me clearly listing that I was moving a bed, mattress and furniture these men were not experienced in moving this, they didn't lay down any sort of protection for my furniture leaving it in marks and scuffs. Where they were lovely men and did the job, it was done shoddily and I am disappointed by Porta's allocation of helpers. Moving is an extremely stressful process that was only made 10x worse by the above experience with Porta.
