Grifters, pure and simple. They set up this payment plan, talking about how you can get a refund if you drop out of the program. I know they told me that their fees were non-refundable, but I thought that was the $1,000 setup, not everything. And everything wound up being something like 45% of all payments. I think they got like 25% of the settled difference with the creditors too, though I can't swear by it, as I pulled out when the government started suing them. And near as I can tell they did NOTHING for me. I certainly saw no evidence that they did anything but pull almost $600/mo from my checking So if you're with them, do yourself a favor and pull whatever balance you have in your settlement account ASAP. Be warned though, it's only going to be about half what you gave them. And do it now. They're selling off accounts for some reason, probably to limit liability in their lawsuit with the government. My account being sold was what clued me into the situation. Hopefully someone gets a class action lawsuit going soon. I really couldn't afford the almost thousand$ that they took from me. If I could, I wouldn't have hired them. I just would've paid the debt!
