We have previously booked with Cruise 1st and they’re highly competitive in their pricing however after sales/customer service is sadly lacking. We’ve recently returned from a Bali stay followed by a cruise with Celebrity and a Singapore stay. It was November when we finally got our holiday details despite trying to contact customer service repeatedly. We didn’t get the flight carrier we requested and our requested stay in Singapore wasn’t included in the final details and needed to be added despite booking two years earlier. Thankfully we checked out the hotel in Bali which wasn’t one of the listed given during booking because the reviews were totally damming. Customer services didn’t respond to my emails until I stated I was going to complain via the media however the agent agreed that the hotel was not even a reasonable standard of accommodation but informed we would have to pay a supplement if we wanted to change it. We looked at hotels online, chose one and unbelievably it only cost £79 each to change from what was essentially a hovel to a five star hotel in the same resort. When we were onboard the ship a couple we sat with at dinner showed us photos of black mould covered shower curtains, broken toilet seat and stained bedding in their hotel room, a room in the very hotel that Cruise 1st had selected for us. Thankfully this was the first time from many bookings made with Cruise1st that we have had cause to complain about them however had we not checked out the selected hotel in a dodgy area it would have totally ruined what turned out to be a wonderful experience. .
