10-Day Self-Driving Tour of Ireland
The 10-day self-driving tour planned for us by Tina O'Connor/Irish Tourism was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in a combination of B&Bs and Hotels - the check-in process was seamless, the hosts were very nice, and the accommodations were lovely, and within walking distance to the center of town. The full breakfasts included with each hotel/B&B were delicious and kept us full for most of the day. We were a bit anxious about driving in Ireland, but we adapted to the left side of the road, right side of the car in no time at all. The car rental was very smooth - and we definitely recommend getting the Garmin/GPS unit to stay on the right path. Having a car and the freedom to make decisions about what to see and how long to spend at each location was the perfect scenario for us. We saw a lot of orchestrated tours and tour buses - that is not for us! We were able to spend an extra 2 hours at the Cliffs of Moher to walk the entire trail and admire the stunning coastline. We would definitely recommend Irish Tourism for anyone planning their trip to Ireland!
