Sofia, Bulgaria SCAM with extreme drivers license requirements
We made a reservation through eDream for AutoUnion and upon arrival, they immediately asked for our driver's licenses and refused them because we didn't have the point card for her Bulgarian driver's license, I had my Canadian driver's license valid and they also refused because I didn't have my international driver's license. The SCAM starts when they mention that they can recommend another car rental company "EasyRent" that accepts driver licenses without point cards or without international driver's licenses. The manager of AutoUnion said that he would write to eDream to get a full refund but they never did, he wrote to eDream that we didn't get the car and didn't have the right driver's license requirements. We rented a car from EasyRent as recommended but had to pay DOUBLE the price for the same category car. We also checked before at the airport with Hertz, Enterprise, Top Rental Car, and they were all accepted my wife or my driver without the International one or the point card. Since they recommended EasyRent, maybe they participated in the SCAM SCHEME and the manager gave the clerk of AutoUnion something? This is a scam scheme to get your money and not have to provide a car. I hope that eDream and all the Online Travel Agencies will put an end to this SCAM SCHEME
