I would not use Worldwide Cruises again…

I would not use Worldwide Cruises again in the future. I booked a once in a lifetime holiday for myself and 5 other people to celebrate my 50th Birthdaywith 3 days in New Orleans and a 7 day Western Caribbean Cruise in Jan 2018. I personally visited the offices of Worldwide Cruises and explained everything to Kenny as I wanted the holiday to go smoothly without any hassle. The holiday was flying with American Airlines from Heathrow to Miami with a connecting flight to New Orleans. Kenny did say that although the flight was with American Airlines they would be using a British Airways plane. This was the first time I had to use a connecting flight and was not sure what happens. Kenny said that our luggage would automatically go onto the next flight. The service I got from Kenny was perfect answering any questions I had up until we all paid for the holiday then the service went significantly downhill. I had to chase him twice to get our final documents. When we finally got the documents they were incomplete with no luggage tags or boarding pass. One of the group members had to email him with no response. She finally called him and 3 days before we were due to fly were told by Kenny that we all had to individually register with the cruise line to obtain what was missing. This caused a lot of stress for everyone so close to the holiday. As the organiser of this cruise, I should have been told as soon as we received the final documents that this needed to be done so I could inform everyone in good time, not last minute. Having been on another cruise with a different travel agent, this is something that Kenny should have done on behalf of everyone and sent us complete documents. At Heathrow Airport we had to queue in the BA line to check in and were also given a BA boarding pass for our connecting flight. When we arrived in Miami we had to collect our bags although we were told by Kenny that our luggage would automatically go onto the next flight. (This only happened on the return journey back). In Miami we queued in the BA line to check in only to be told that we had to join the AA line. By the time we cleared security and made it on time to our connecting flight we had missed it because they closed the gates 10 mins before the flight leaves. This was the first time I had ever missed a flight. This could have been avoided if we were told by Kenny what the correct procedure was when connecting flights. We managed to get another flight 3 hours later but were on standby which did not guarantee us a seat. The next flight after that were standby tickets as well. I was extremely tired and stressed so I had to complain in order to get us all guaranteed seats on the next flight. I was promised a cabin on the cruise with a porthole but did not get one. On my birthday my room was not decorated with banners or balloons. I received a discount voucher for a massage the day after my birthday and so did the person I was sharing with and it was not even her birthday. I complained to the cruise line only to be told that they were not informed by the travel agent that it was my birthday. They picked up on it because of my date of birth on their system and apologised for giving me the voucher on the wrong day and compensated me with 2 free drinks vouchers. I had booked this cruise especially to celebrate my 50th birthday and wanted to do it in style, hassle free but this was not the case. I will be going on cruises every 5 years and would definitely not use Worldwide Cruises again because they are quick to take your money but the after sales care is sadly lacking!
