They’ll charge you for non existent damage.
New damage appeared between collection and the final damage appraisal that they are trying to charge me over £1000 for. On collection an appraisal was done which I signed for. 2 days later after their final damage appraisal they are trying to charge me for a new windscreen due to some scratches that have suddenly appeared. These scratches were not there on collection, the person collecting checked the windscreen and only flagged a small chip which had previously been fixed by octopus. I’m returning the car due to redundancy, I can’t afford to pay £1k for someone else’s damage. I certainly won’t be getting an octopus EV at my next company.
