Rising main burst ….
Rising main burst ….. caused by a marquee stake….. 3 days before my son’s wedding ! After initially being told on the phone the initial assessment COULD be done in 24hrs …. Work at a later date…. I called a second time and spoke to an understanding lady and a guy came out to assess that night. He immediately told me the reception could not take place or move the marquee, but refused to allow me to photograph the map on his iPad of where the pipe lay to avoid moving it and another stake going through as pipe was not very deep!! He just said” it’s the property of Angolan water!” Fortunately he made a call to someone as he could see I was somewhat upset and at 7:30am the following day Danny arrived ! What a difference an understanding reassuring person does for the reputation of Anglian Water!! He called Dave and he also told me he was not going anywhere until the issue was resolved and that the reception WOULD go ahead. Boards were laid for their vehicles and onto where to put the earth being dug out, and the site was left clean, tidy and nobody would have known there had been an issue. I cannot praise Danny and Dave enough. Thank you.
