Kia Allingtons
I find it very disappointing to read so many one star only reviews on this thread. What is even more disappointing is the lack of responses from Kia dealers to the complaints and issues described. For I have to say based on my experience as an owner, this is one of the most underrated brands on the market. I understand that Kia operate on a franchise model. Some franchises are part of large dealer groups, others are family businesses, and some are actually owned and operated by Kia. This might partly explain the absence of responses but for a global brand with aspirations of producing and marketing a quality product backed by a market leader 7 year warranty, I think they need to be more proactive in this area. Anyway, I digress. I have really come on to this thread to sing the praises of Kia Allingtons located on the outskirts of Ashington, Northumberland. My very first visit last week was to have some work carried out arising from a safety recall for my particular model of car which involved updating the vehicle’s software. The dealership is based in what appear to be relatively new premises which were bright and airy with a very pleasant reception area for customers. The service was friendly, the work was carried out on time and I was happy to wait with my reading material and complimentary coffee and biscuits. Just a small job but a good start and reassuring to know that my car will be in good hands for future servicing. I understand this particular dealership is a family business and I think my experience is indicative of the difference a customer friendly approach makes in winning customer loyalty and goodwill. Hopefully over the course of time Kia will find a way of achieving consistency of service quality over all its dealerships, and using role models like Allingtons might be one way of setting the benchmark.
