Don't trust them to 'take care of everything' -addendum

I would 100% have given Vehicles for Veterans 5 stars and have no complaints, because they said they would take care of everything and all documentation would be taken care of on their end the moment they took possession of the car. I tried to do a transfer of vehicle notification, however, I never memorized my license plate and I didn't have that information on me so I couldn't file it without it. Well, the car was sold and I got my tax return information AS WELL AS A BILL FROM EZ-PASS saying I owe $50 in tolls, for roads I don't drive on, but my old car does. So much for taking care of all documentation??? Now I'm on the hook for these tolls, and who knows how many more tolls will be sent to my address because the 'veteran' who bought my car still has my tags and has not taken ownership of the car. Edit 5/28/24 12:33pm I received a call from Vehicles for Veterans and talked with one of the representatives of VfV about the issue above. They took ownership of the problem and resolved to do right by me and gathered as much information as I could provide them to resolve the issue with EZ-PASS AND the DMV. They have assured me this is not how they run their foundation and even offered to pay any and all fees for EZ-PASS. It was a pleasant conversation and they also resolved to fix wherever the breakdown in this wonderful system occurred so that others like me do not have to go through this issue as well. I hope that if you read low reviews to see what can go wrong that this review does not dissuade you from donating your vehicle to VfV. They truly did their due diligence and wish to make this as seamless and as smooth a process for everyone.
