SAPPHIRE PRINCESS should not be…
SAPPHIRE PRINCESS should not be sailing, it is a piece of junk cruise ship. This cruise ship should be parked in a junk yard. They provide super smelly pillows, toilet flush didn’t work many times, uncontrollable AC unit, filthy carpeting, running out of towels inside the sauna room, broken shampoo bottles inside the sauna shower room, no filters in their AC exhaust. The worst facial treatment I’ve ever had in my entire facial life. Lotus Spa of Sapphire Princess We spent 5 days before we reached Hawaii, the highlights of this trip then I received a letter that “Your excursion has been cancelled because of blah blah blah! Sorry for the inconvenience”. We ended up hiring a private driver in the island which is 10X cheaper than booking with Sapphire. So, move on to the next port. We were all waiting at the gangway to explore the next island until the captain of the ship have announced that we can’t get out from the ship because of short staff in Maui port (security officers) Another disaster! The worst situation that had happened during this trip was the HUGE amount of guests that got infected with Covid Virus. They seemed not ready to handle the situation. They quarantined the guests that are tested positive BUT they did not test the roommates claiming that they don’t have symptoms and let them spread the virus in the whole ship. Approximately more than 100+++ plus quests are tested positive and who knows how many are the “spreaders” that never got tested. The check out was a disaster, all quarantined guests were gathered in one of their restaurants to be checked out at the same time, 20 of the quarantined guests did not show up and they were missing. So they have to hold these 70+++ mostly are seniors guests while they were searching for the missing positive guests. The officers were all rattled and confused. I think, those missing positive guests were snuck out the ship before the officers even realize that they’re gone. So, they let us go. Upon picking up our luggages, there are no cart to use to carry the luggages until we reach the entrance to of the port (San Pedro, California) It was ok for me because I only have 1 luggage and I’m young compared to the other ill guests with more than 1 luggage. I had double mastectomy due to breast cancer. I have limit my self to carry more than 20 lbs because of multiple counts of surgeries and cancer treatments that I had been through for the past 2 years and NEVER contracted the virus. But this time, I set aside my health restrictions but to helped out these elderly people carrying their luggages as much as I could. The 2 cruise ship officers, only 1 have the Heart to help the rest of the disabled covid positive guests until they got out from the port of San Pedro. I heard while an officer was helping the old women, he told him to leave them to welcome the new passengers, and I also heard the officer reply that he will not leave the disabled/elderly passengers. The officer (w/ 0 compassion) answered, who are you going to help the 2500 new passengers or those passengers? I was about to walk toward that officer to let him know that “We were their passengers too, We were free from covid, happy and excited before we have boarded in their cruise ship). Covid positive passengers needed to disembark with grace and care. You can not just dump us after we spent Thousands of Dollars just to get sick inside you Horrible cruise ship! I was touched by the officer's kindness, an officer with a Super BIG HEART by helping the elderly who needed his help until we got out of the port. His name is GRANT R. JEFFERIES (Associate Hotel General Manager). I did not get that officer w/ 0 compassion’s name, he walked too fast before I was able to read his uniform name tag. NEVER AGAIN with PRINCESS….MY FIRST and LAST
