Wish I had never bothered
I personally found this company to be dishonest. I am still very confused about their name change part way through my studies. It looks like a new company but none of us students were told about it and when we asked we were told that nothing except the name had changed. So confusing!!! To get the diploma I worked hard for I was expected to pay for another years membership to the societies of their choice which doubled in price after the one student year. These societies appear to offer nothing is return for the money and are very closely connected to chrysalis so there is little point in complaining to one about the other as it feels like you are talking to the same group of people,or at least this is my experience. No real feedback on work is given and the classes parrot a book called 'hypnosis for change' . I found this course so unbelievable frustrating with no support, no feedback, and no real teaching of any kind. I have a masters degree in psychology which I gained through my own research, so I am used to solo studying, but this course seemed to expect me to have psychic abilities. The assignments need to mirror what you have learnt in class, but you don't get taught anything in class. You get a handout at the end which shows what you might have basically touched on at some random point... most of said handout is from the book, in a lot of cases word for word. Then you are expected to basically teach yourself enough around this area to be able to complete the assignment. So it feels a lot like a home study course (as in you do ALL the work at home) that you turn up to once a month so a tutor can make you feel like a complete moron for a few hours. Needless to say I gave up after year one and will not be using this company (or any of those that may or may not be connected to it) for any future academic en devours. All in all I'd advise people to invest their time and money elsewhere. Additionally no where seems to accept the diplomas so unless you want to practice privately (I wanted to work in the NHS which does not recognize this 'qualification' neither does BCAP so finding employment with a company or getting on to a university/college course is impossible) you can't actually do a lot once you've completed the course.
