Review of BulkSupplements Product : Luo Han Guo (Monk Fruit Extract) Powder Order #1147898 I've used Monk Fruit for several years, but this was the first time I ordered it from Bulk Supplements. I have three points to make: (1) product is dark brown, looks like ground cinnamon -- does not look like anything I've ever seen in monk fruit (I've used a wide variety of brands; this color is far from the typical color (2) product is not granular, more like finely ground flour or baking powder (3) product has no sweetness whatsoever; I know various brands blend monk fruit with erythritol or Xylitol to enhance sweetness, but this product tastes like potato flour -- no sweetness whatsoever. I ordered this because I didn't want those additions. I have no control or insight about where Bulk Supplements orders their products; they need to review flawed products and have standards for product quality from the customer's standpoint. As it stands, in an effort to protect my health, I had to trash this entire shipment (for holiday cooking, 5bags, 35oz/ea, $177) to avoid consuming something this questionable and out-of-character. I sent email to BS, but in response, received an excuse email about products varying based on the sources (already knew that, but does that mean they can ship customers sub-standard and weird products ?). Return Shipping cost must be paid by customer -- too high to warrant an uncertain outcome. Last time I will ever order anything from Bulk Supplements.
