Money hungry company taking advantage of vulnerable individuals
I truly hope someone thinking about using this service through a difficult time reads this and saves themselves more financial burden. This company is a COMPLETE SCAM. They will make a lot of big promises and take money from you for as long as they can - no morals, no truth. I signed up for credit sage early this year after speaking to a representative who told me I had a great case, that my credit score would jump up in no time, that within a few months I would see drastic changes and they would be able to close out almost all of my accounts. We are now in September and besides a couple of points in my credit score, the only progress made was them taking $90 out of my account every month. And each time I called dissatisfied and wanted to cancel my account and told them I was unhappy with what I was told and what I was seeing, they would not make it easy to cancel my account, instead telling me that I had a review coming up soon and I should see big progress. It was all misleading. So this last month, as I am in a financial hard spot which is a reason why I came to use this service in the first place, they monthly payment tried to pull from my account and there wasn’t enough in there for it to go through. So I got an email saying that my payment failed, and if they couldn’t collect the payment within 14 days, my account would be canceled. So I let the 14 days pass, they tried again. But it was a lie, as 10 days AFTER that they pulled the money out of my account anyway! Putting me in a horrible situation with my bank and bills! I called them and said I wanted a refund as the email I got clearly stated they would cancel my service 14 days after not receiving payment, and they did not do it. And I of course also wanted my service canceled. They were very prepared to tell me no refund would be given as they “rendered a service.” They didn’t even have the decency to issue the refund knowing they took the money after they said IN WRITING that they would cancel the service after 14 days, did not do it, and took the money out 10 days past that date. They do not care about helping you. They will not make things right. Also not the first time they’ve refused to make things right, when I signed up they asked if I wanted to sign up for their standard scores service which would be an additional charge each month. I said no. They charged me the first 3 months anyway, and I called the service and they confirmed that I should have never been signed up for it as it was noted I said not interested. So they signed me up and took the money without my consent, totaling over $75. And when I asked for that to be refunded they said no! That even though it was a mistake, they couldn’t refund me, but they could lower my monthly payment a few dollars. Soulless company only looking to profit from desperate people. Stole over $134 that I did not consent to give and refused to refund a penny. I hope they get investigated. They are hurting vulnerable people. Please learn from my horrible misjudgment.
