I rented a car through discovercars.com. The rental company was Autounion When I went to pick up the car, the employee from Autounion refused to give it to me and asked for a new contract worth five times the amount I had booked through discovercars.com. My booking was for 160 euro, but the Autounion employee asked me for 900 euro, or he wouldn't hand over the car. After some attempts to negotiate, as it was clear he was trying to take advantage of me, I had to agree to pay 900 euro because I needed the car, and there were no nearby rental companies and I had my family and luggage with me. I then contacted discovercars.com and explained the issue, but they couldn't resolve it with the rental company. The rental company claimed that I refused to pay with a credit card, which was why they raised the rental price to 900 euros. They also took a deposit of 540 euros from my credit card. Their response was baseless and illogical. It makes no sense for me to pay an additional 900 euros to avoid paying with a credit card. Now I have lost the amount I paid through discovercars.com and the amount I paid to Autounion. The employee at Autounion was exploitative and tried to take as much money from me as possible, taking advantage of my situation as a traveler who had to agree to the increase. This incident occurred at the Auto Union branch in Milan near the airport, and the employee's name is Carlos.
