Beware

Beware. You may not get the information/results you pay for/expect. I had 2 tests for a suspected allergy to my dog (dander + epithelium). I received the test report, but no explanation/indication as to whether the results were positive or negative. I'm not a doctor or a scientist, so I had to ask 'Dr Google' in the first instance to interpret the results. What's the point in paying for a test and then being left in the dark? After I called them to raise my concern, I was told that "Our Lab would indicate the test results in red colour if the tested parameter is below or higher than the normal value"? So why wasn't I told that on the report? I was also told I should consult my GP for further advice! Apparently, I now read on the interweb that this is going on with a number of these 'high-street vampires", which is then causing knock-on problems at Drs surgeries. Obviously further regulation is required. Google "High street blood tests are putting extra pressure on NHS".
