Update on very poor service review
UPDATE - 8 Weeks have passed since my review and DC Law's response below and I have heard nothing from them. It would appear that their investigation into the issue I raised is no better than the service I received in the first place. This company's service is just pot luck as to who you get as to the service you receive - would not recommend. I recently used DC Law, through recommendation of CO-OP legal probate service, following the death of my father. I set up their app as requested in April 2024 and was allocated a conveyancer. Offer accepted in early September 2024 with 3 in the chain (1st time buyer, my buyer and myself) and Memorandum of Sale was issued to all parties. I then had to chase DC Law until mid October, at which point another conveyancer was allocated to my case and promised me that all would be great now that she was handling it. There then followed copious amounts of chasing by both myself, my Estate Agent and buyers solicitor to move the sale forward. This sale should have taken weeks not months but due to lack of response to messages left, e-mails sent and being asked to agree and supply documents etc 2 or 3 times this was not the case. I used DC Laws app, as requested, to follow progress but this was hardly updated or proved that very little was being done. Completion was finally set for December 18th but this was cancelled a few days before as information was still outstanding from DC Law. Completion set again for 16th January 2025, my conveyancer went on holiday 2 days prior and thank god she did as the gentleman that then helped with the completion (Liam Ryan) saved us from it all falling apart. 5pm the night before completion he discovered that my contract and TR1 form still hadn't been amended correctly as had been requested numerous times by the buyers solicitors, so I was sent amended forms by Liam and asked to print, sign, find a witness and scan the documents back and hope my buyers solicitors would accept them the morning of completion, which thankfully they did. A few days later I was requested by DC Law to complete an internal review questioaire on the service I had received, and I explained why I was unhappy with the service received but surprise, surprise no reply has been forthcoming. The icing on the cake has been receiving an email from the conveyancer on her return from holiday congratulating me on the completion and asking me to give her a 5* review on Trust Pilot as she gets a bonus for each one she receives! There seems to be some exceptional conveyancers at DC Law but they and the company are being let down badly by others who are not, which is a shame
