I put feelers out for possible…

I put feelers out for possible replacement windows and doors, this company called me and made arrangements for a no obligation survey , a salesman was sent out to me seemed to know his stuff what was supposed to have been an hour meeting dragged on for over 3 hours, I was losing the will to live however after all the company BS he showed me a sample window and yes it looked the business, I semi agreed to get ahead but did feel I was being pushed into the contract, but my windows are in need of renewal, I agreed the type of glass frosted for doors and bathroom window, there salesman got hold of the finance company and again I just found myself agreeing although I have better judgement, a appointment was arranged for a week and half later for measurements to be taken however two days later I got a call can our man come out on the Monday that means just four days will have passed, I tried to say no I was busy but on the Saturday I received a message could I agree Monday I ignored the message, Sunday night I got another message from the man obviously coming to measure up the windows and doors I’ll be with you around mid day tomorrow, I was not happy about this and felt this was a bloody cheek, anyway the man turned up looking like death warmed up and saying he is not well keep my distance as he was getting worse by the minute, but he would measure my windows from outside, after about an hour he knocked my door wanting me to sign his computer to agree what he had done and allow him to go away and make the windows, I said no I want to see the specifications and contract before I sign, but he just kept insisting I sign and then said this is not the contract I’ll send you an email with all the details and specs on it and you sign that and return it and that is the contract, I received an email within an hour but no specifications on it, just windows represented by red squares no type of window no furniture or locks or glass I email him back and said I am not signing this and told him why oh he said I’ll send it again, second email and the third exactly the same, at this point I decided to cancel everything, I contacted head office and cancelled they said they would contact the local office and let them know, I contacted the finance company and cancelled them, so all in less than 7 days so within the cancelation period, I received a call from the local office and at first his reaction was shity because he couldn’t make me change my mind, and then told me well we have spent time on this we have costs, I told him I’m not disputing that but I have cancelled with in the period on your paperwork, he told me well you better read the back page about our cancelation time, I told him I had and I am well within that time limit less than 7 days, no your not he told me, I said yes I am today is the 7th day and I cancelled yesterday, Oh oh his tone changed. I think I had a narrow escape judging by the attitudes. now waiting to see if they are going to return my deposit 07/07/2025 Wear as I realise you strive to be clear and open with your clients, I felt I had been rushed from day one towards the end of the 7 day cooling off period in order for you to clinch the deal before a prospective buyer had time to really think things through and realised what they had signed in to, once I’d had a little time to reflect on the total deal I realised it was not for me, and also once I started to make noises of pulling out staffs attitude changed toward me, and that and the general deal finished it for me.
