It’s 50/50 for me
I like my psychiatric provider. I feel like she has made good medication choices for me, and continues to provide recommendations for supplements to help my systems work better. Therapy with Brightside was not what I had hoped. My first therapist felt more like talk therapy than I wanted, though she did have a plan for more. She had a single no show on our third visit, left a voicemail on my phone to apologize and encourage a new appointment, then stopped communicating with me when i was communicating that she has no availability for me to book and was asking for help. My second therapist that I chose myself said things that made me quite uncomfortable to continue with him. I presented concerns specific to my life and he countered with statements that felt he had opinions or beliefs opposed to my issues. I ultimately canceled my therapy plan with Brightside and I am looking for a therapist more attuned to the supportive environment that I am seeking. I have kept my psychiatric care with them because I do like my provider and I feel the support I desire there.
