Been a pandemic so not been for 2 years

After 28 years as a customer we today went to Makro Charlton. Card declined, man on reception was reconciling something so waited some time before he spoke to us, explained our account was deleted because we had not been for 2 years, was not friendly and appeared stressed, we said about pandemic and he said not us but head office, he tannoyed for a manager, a lady came who was not a manager and said a manager would come and speak with us but if you have not been here then account would have been deleted, she was like Mrs Trunchball from Matilda 😬, still receiving Makro mail still so all rather bizarre. Customer Service so rude. 2 other customers at the same time having the same issue, we said our goodbyes and left the card with them. The carpark was nearly empty, 10 years ago with a bigger car park it was nearly always full. Cannot see it remaining open past 2023, oh well so many other better cash and carry stores, looking at other reviews we are not alone, adiós Makro 😜🤣
