Cultural tour of Croatia, Bosnia- Herzegovina and Montenegro
I recently returned from a cultural tour of Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro. What a magical week we had. We were greeted by our Tour guide at the airport, who was just wonderful and not only took care of all our needs but shared the most amazing amount of information throughout our whole trip. Perfect English and wonderful sense of humour, he helped to create a tremendous atmosphere on our bus 67 and many friendship were formed that will be long lasting. Thank you Semih. The hotels were all excellent, with perhaps one exception, Wojtila in Medjugorje where the food was of extremely low standard and the coffee in the morning utterly undrinkable. The only good thing about staying in Medjugorje was the trip to Mostar, absolutely beautiful and very moving, seeing the evidence of that very sad war, those who did not sign up for the extra trips at a very reasonable cost, certainly missed out on one of the highlights of the whole week, together with the boat trip to Our Lady of The Rocks in Montenegro, both very memorable. This was my first trip with RSD and would certainly go on another. Just a couple of things as a new comer I would liked to have known....the flight did not come up on Manchester's departures which panicked me a bit as I had a long journey to Manchester, apparently its because its a chartered flight, and once on it all was perfect...the 2nd piece of advice I would give...take euros....I wish I had known...they are accepted in all 3 countries also the tour guide needed paying in cash for the explorer package, thankfully he was happy to wait til we got to Montenegro when I could at last get euro. Apart from that, yes the carpet, jewellery and leather visits were uncomfortably pressured but a small price to pay for a magical week. Couldn't recommend it more highly
