Abuse of contact details
I did NOT appreciate the intrusion of a phone call (which my phone correctly flagged as spam) part way through the process of considering the policy. I had already gone past the part that requested my consent for marketing contact which I specifically did not give, yet I still get a sales call, presumably looking to upsell and charge more, on the pretext of offering further discount. If you are offering further discount, be transparent about this throughout the process. Otherwise, don't offer it. It's underhand. People use online options generally because it's preferable to hard sell from targeted sales staff. We're also not stupid enough to mistake such calls for anything other than upselling. I purchased a policy as it seemed to suit my needs. I did this in spite of, not because of, the misuse of my telephone number.
