Cancelled reservation within the period, denied refund.
I booked a hotel room through Travelocity for the first time. They give a 24 hour window to cancel. I didn’t need to cancel, I needed to reschedule for the following day. Travelocity states under my account for the booked trip to contact the property for any changes. So I called the property well before this 24 hour window, and asked them if I could change it for the next day. I was told they were all booked up for that day so I requested to just cancel my reservation. I was told by the property that I would get a cancellation email from Travelocity. I never did. When I reached out to Travelocity about it, they told me they will reach out to the property and to wait 72 hours. I then get an email from Travelocity saying my refund was denied because the could not get approval from the property. Total scam artists that must be working together.
